Revolutionizing Agriculture with Customized Farmland

Urban-Rural Integration through Innovative Mobile Application

Customized Farmland was inspired by the vast proportion of idle urban land in China and the significant loss of rural population. The designers saw the need for accelerating the construction of intelligent agriculture and meeting the strong demand for agricultural products and rural tourism experiences among urban users. The platform is a response to these challenges, offering a new direction for rural e-commerce development.

What sets Customized Farmland apart is its unique framework that includes land leasing, agriculture, rural tourism, 5G broadcasting, online marketing, and online donation modules. This structure provides a fresh platform for the utilization of rural resources and opens new opportunities for urban residents to invest in agriculture. The platform was designed for the iOS system, using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Experience Design.

The platform's operation is user-friendly. Users can lease three types of land - farmland, poultry, and fish ponds - and choose between shared land for rent and land for rent. By browsing the map, users can select the nearest land and natural village, view the types of agricultural products that can be planted on the land, and even view the growth status of plants in real-time through 5G Live Stream. The platform also allows users to trade harvested agricultural products online and donate their harvested agricultural products online, contributing to society.

The project, which started in December 2019 and finished in September 2020 in Shenzhen, faced challenges in providing a good user experience due to the involvement of many partners. However, through continuous practice and exploration, the designers were able to balance the relationship between users and partners and achieve a good user experience.

Customized Farmland has been recognized for its innovation and excellence, winning the Silver in A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award in 2021. This award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
